Registration and accommodation
How do I alter my registration?
The Conference Innovators team are happy to help with any changes, contact Conference Innovators - Margaret Wong.
What do I do if I need to cancel my registration?
Should you need to cancel your registration, you may reassign your registration to another person. All cancellations and substitutions must be notified in writing to Conference Innovators - Margaret Wong. Ensure you check the terms and conditions of registration prior to registering.
What do I do if I need to cancel my accommodation?
Charges or cancellations of accommodation, particularly within 30 days of the Congress, will be subject to the discretion of the hotel concerned and your credit card may be charged a cancellation fee levied by the hotel. All terms and conditions for hotel bookings are noted in the online registration process. For any accommodation changes, please email Sarah Scott.
Can my partner attend?
If your partner or guest would like to attend conference sessions, they will need to register for APMP 2026.
You can purchase tickets for partners and guests to attend the social functions - welcome function and or the gala dinner. Tickets for these events can be purchased as part of your registration process or you can modify your registration to include them later by contacting Margaret Wong.
Are day registrations available for the APMP 2026?
Day registrations for Thursday Symposium are available via the registration process.
What forms of payment do you accept?
MasterCard, Visa and American Express are accepted (credit card surcharge applies). Alternatively you can request an invoice and make payment via direct credit.
Is there a group discount?
There are no group discounts available.
Can registrations be shared?
Registrations cannot be shared. You may reassign your registration to another person. All cancellations and substitutions must be notified in writing to Conference Innovators - Margaret Wong.
How can I book hotels and flights?
APMP 2026 has contracted a range of accommodation options which are conveniently located and at special prices, these can be booked as part of your online registration process. We encourage you to book as soon as possible to take advantage of the offerings as rooms do sell out.
Flight bookings are not part of the registration process, attendees are required to make their own travel arrangements.
Are airport transfers provided?
Attendees are required to make their own airport transfer arrangements if required. Taxis, shuttle service and Uber are available.

Do I need travel insurance?
Travel insurance is recommended. You will need to organise this yourself and be aware of what your policy entails.
Onsite at the conference
How long is the APMP 2026?
APMP 2026 runs for 8 days from Saturday 14 - 21 November 2026.
When is the registration and information desk open?
The registration and information desk will be staffed throughout the whole APMP 2026 duration.
Where do I collect my name badge?
Visit the registration desk upon arrival at the venue to collect your name badge.
What is the dress code for APMP 2026?
The dress code during APMP 2026 is smart casual.
I have a dietary requirement. What should I do?
When you register for the conference please indicate your dietary requirements, e.g. gluten free, vegetarian, lactose intolerant and/or if you have any allergies.
For any requirements that are not covered by the selections available for all delegates, there will be a separate catering station where your meals will be available. The venue and conference staff will be on hand to help direct you. Note that individual food preferences cannot be accommodated.
Will there be an APMP 2026 app?
There is no app available for this event.
Is there childcare available at the conference?
No childcare services have been arranged for APMP 2026.
Venue and transport
What is the venue address?
InterContinental Wellington, 2 Grey Street, Wellington Central, Wellington 6011.
Is the venue accessibility friendly?
Yes. Guest lifts are located on the ground floor of the hotel with direct access to level 1 of the conference floor, with room key required to access guest floors.
What are the public transport options?
Bus options
- Lambton Quay Stops: Frequent core bus services run right outside on Lambton Quay and nearby Hunter Street.
- Airport Express (AX): You can catch AX bus to Wellington International Airport from nearby central stops on Lambton Quay.
- Local routes: Metlink buses connect you directly to destinations like Te Papa, Courtnenay Place, and the zoo.
Train options
Wellington Station: Located at the northern end of Lambton Quay, providing regional train lines including the Hutt Valley Line, Kāpiti Line, Johnsonville Line and the Wairarapa Connection.
Other transport options
- Wellington Cable Car: The lower cable car station on Lambton Quay is less than a 10-minute walk away, taking you up to Kelburn and the Botanic Garden.
- Wellington Harbour Ferries: Ferries operate from Queens Wharf, a short walk down towards the waterfront.
Is there car parking at the venue?
Self parking is available at Grey Street Carpark. For parking rates or to book online, visit: www.greystreetcarpark.co.nz.
Is there mobility car parking available at the venue?
There is dedicated disabled or accessible parking available.
Is there valet parking at the venue?
There is valet parking option at the InterContinental Wellington. These are the details:
- $50 NZD Daily Rate/Overnight Parking
- 24 Hour availability
- 1.9 Metre height restriction
- Oversized vehicles - by prior arrangement with Concierge only
- EV charging capability for type 2 European charging ports complimentary with valet parking

General
Weather has closed the airport - what do I do?
Contact your airline directly regarding your travel options.
To advise us that you are arriving a day later than expected, contact Margaret Wong. If you have booked accommodation, you should contact the hotel directly to advise them. Note that cancellations fees usually apply for last minute changes.
What will the weather be like during APMP 2026 in mid November?
Expect lows of 12 degrees and highs of 18 degrees during November. Visit the MetService website for current local weather forecasts and weather warnings.
How can I see a list of who is attending?
APMP 2026 list of attendees will be sent out to exhibitors, sponsors and attendees closer to the conference. This list will exclude attendees who have requested privacy.
Does APMP 2026 have a scholarship available?
No funding is available for APMP 2026.
