Asia Pacific Metrology Programme

The Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) is a grouping of national metrology institutes (NMIs) from the Asia-Pacific region engaged in improving regional metrological capability through the sharing of expertise and exchange of technical services among Member laboratories.

APMP's mission is to promote and support the development and international recognition of measurement infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific that facilitates international trade, improves industrial efficiency and competitiveness, ensures equity in the marketplace, and enhances the quality of life and the environment for its citizens.

Every year, APMP holds its General Assembly in a member nation, and in 2026, that honour falls to Aotearoa New Zealand.

APMP 2026 – the 42nd Asia Pacific Metrology Programme General Assembly and Related Activities – will take place at the InterContinental Wellington from 15-21 November 2026.

It is expected to welcome more than 400 delegates from over 38 countries. As the premier forum advancing metrological science, capability and collaboration among NMIs, the programme will showcase leading-edge developments in measurement science and technology, emerging applications, strategic future directions, and foundational research shaping the discipline.
